I have several New Netherland projects that I plan to turn into articles, so keep following this website if that interests you. Unlike some other colonial efforts, such as Jamestown, New Netherland had white women colonists from its inception. Some allow me to publish about it while others prefer to publish the findings themselves. In other cases, clients hire me to do all the research. In 2010, it partnered with the New York State Office of Cultural Education to establish the New Netherland Research Center, with matching funds from the State of the Netherlands. Hopefully financial support for such a project will be forthcoming at a later time. I love it when research I do provides new insights, and when clients share that information with other researchers by publishing the findings.
